At the heart of my work is curiosity, care for language, and a commitment to bringing stories into the world with clarity and warmth.

My Story

I have always liked books and people.
Connecting them felt like the most natural thing to do.

Somewhere along the way, this fondness turned into a profession, and I began moving stories across borders, languages, and contexts, hoping they would feel at home on the other side.

I work with English, French, and Polish texts, bringing them to Ukrainian readers, while also carrying Ukrainian literature outward — into English — with care, curiosity, and a deep sense of responsibility.

I see myself as both a translator and an advocate of everything Ukrainian.

I am the Editor-in-Chief for Translated Literature at Laboratoria Publishing House and an award-winning translator, though I still think of translation less as a title and more as a lifelong apprenticeship.

Each translated book taught me something new — about language, about history, and about how much care a text can ask of you.

I believe every translation opens a new window on the world.

Sometimes it is a wide, panoramic view; sometimes it is just a crack of light.
Both matter.
