For seven years, TIA has been a home for translators — a place where growth happens gently, with care, curiosity, and laughter.
TIA is a place of personal and professional becoming, of moral support, soft guidance, and friendly mentorship.
More than 80 translators have passed through TIA, many of them holding their first published translations today.
What unites us is simple and a little mad: a desperate love for words, and a shared desire to learn how to arrange them well.
We meet every month for workshops, conversations with remarkable translators, and long discussions that sometimes stretch into the night — when someone, somewhere, is still searching for the perfect synonym for "mogshade", and knows exactly whom to ask.
What TIA Offers
TIA offers translation lessons in fiction, non-fiction, and children’s literature.
Each lesson includes a two-hour recorded meeting where we translate and closely discuss an excerpt from a book — word by word, choice by choice.
You can purchase access to individual lessons or series of meetings.
If you’re curious or unsure where to start, just reach out to me, and I’ll be happy to guide you.
